Venue
The 14th CRSI National Symposium in Chemistry (NSC-14) is being jointly organized by the National Institute for Interdisciplinary Science and Technology (CSIR-NIIST), Trivandrum and the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Thiruvananthapuram during February 3-5, 2012, under the auspices of the Chemical Research Society of India. The event will be held at the NIIST Auditorium, which is about 7 km from the central railway station, central bust station and around 15 km from the Trivandrum International Airport (TVC).
Trivandrum / Thiruvananthapuram, is a small and beautiful seaside township built on seven hills. The city gets its name from the word, “Thiru-Anantha-Puram” meaning the city of Anantha or the abode of the sacred Anantha on which Lord Vishnu, the preserver of the Hindu Trinity reclines. Trivandrum is also famous as the city of Sree Padmanabha (Lord Vishnu) and the Sree Padmanbha Temple, which is now regarded as the richest temple in the world with a fortune of gold and treasures worth several billions.
