Research Planning and Business Development

RPBD was formed to aid the effective management of the Institute’s R&D activities, Technical Services, Intellectual Property Management as well as Business development.

• Functions as a liaison agency between Principle investigators in the Institute-Finance Section-Purchase Section and the Grant Giving agencies
• Proper logistic support for the management, maintenance and monitoring of CSIR and externally funded projects
• Preparations of Annual Reports/Plan documents of the Institute
• Dissemination of information regarding ongoing and completed projects
• Maintains comprehensive and up-to-date patent database of the Institute and dissemination of information regarding patents
• Protection of intellectual property generated in the Institute
• Liaison with private industries/Institutes/Academic Institutions /other potential clients for business plans.
• Negotiation of business plans and drawing agreements/MoUs with clients
• Co-ordination of Technical Audit and Service Tax related activities
