Dr. Vijayakumar received his Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Kerala in January 2008 based on the work done in the area of ‘Functional Supramolecular Materials’ under the guidance of Prof. A. Ajayaghosh at CSIR–NIIST, Thiruvananthapuram. Subsequently, he worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow (January 2008 – December 2010) at the Organic Materials Group, National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS), Tsukuba, Japan.

Dr. Joshy Joseph is a Principal Scientist at CSIR-NIIST, Trivandrum & Associate Professor of AcSIR. He completed his Masters Degree in Chemistry from School of Chemical Sciences, Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, Kerala in 1998 and Ph. D. from University of Kerala (work carried out at CSIR-NIIST, Trivandrum under the guidance of Dr. D. Ramaiah) in 2004. Subsequently, he worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow (2004-2006) and as a Research Scientist II (2006-2011) in Professor Gary B.

Dr. V. K. Praveen completed his M.Sc. In Applied Chemistry from University of Calicut (2001) and Ph.D. from CSIR-NIIST (University of Kerala) under the supervision of Prof. A. Ajayaghosh in 2007. He then joined the research group of Prof. Takuzo Aida at the University of Tokyo, Japan as a Global Centre of Excellence (GCOE) Post-Doctoral Fellow and later became a Japanese Society for Promotion of Science (JSPS) Post-Doctoral Fellow in 2009.
